Now through Saturday evening, 102.9 DRC-FM will broadcast its 8th annual Radiothon to benefit Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. DRC-FM will dedicate 36 hours of programming to generate donations and raise awareness of the work Connecticut Children's does on behalf of the children of our region. 100 percent of all donations generated will stay right here in Connecticut. To date, DRC-FM’s Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Radiothon has raised over one million dollars!

Local businesses like, BMW of Watertown, Footprints Family Shoe Store, Liberty Bank, Marriott Hartford Downtown, Middletown Nissan, Mitchells Restaurants, Modern Plumbing, Somers Golf Center & Sonny's Restaurant, Tim Hortons, and Toshi Japanese Restaurant are offering their support of the kids, too. All month long, these sponsors have been having events and collecting donations, or dedicating a percentage from sales to directly benefit Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. All of those donations will be presented to Connecticut Children’s during the 2010 DRC-FM Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon to benefit Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Fair Season is in Full Swing on The Big D!

On Saturday, October 16 at 7:30 pm, a three act BIG D BIG SHOW will roar into The Bushnell to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of 102.9 DRC-FM, Hartford’s Big D! The show brings pays tribute to our heritage, bringing together three of the greatest acts of the 60s, including Herman's Hermits, starring Peter Noone, Felix Cavaliere's Rascals and The Happenings.
